秦二十六年临湘守戈考

摘要：学界对秦“二十六年临湘守戈”的年代和戈铭中“临湘守”的理解一直存有争议，本文从地名“临湘”入秦的时间着手，定其年代为秦始皇二十六年；认为“临湘”不可能是“郡治县名代替郡名”，也不可能是新见的郡名，戈铭中的“临湘守”应该是县守，该戈应为秦代县级武库制造的兵器。

A Study on the Dagger-axe of Linxiang’s Mayor Produced in the 26^th year of Qin Dynasty

Abstract: This paper argues that the 26^th year, inscribed on the dagger-axe, was refering to the 26^th year of the First Emperor, since Linxiang was occupied by the Qin at the time. Meanwhile, the author believes that Lin Xiang Shou in the inscription should be considered as the mayor of Linxiang Xian (county), instead of the mayor of Linxiang Jun (prefecture), thus the dagger-axe was actually produced in a county-level armory.
